The program aimed to sensitize women in Ajibode and its surrounding areas on key information about cervical cancer on what it is, how it develops, its early warning signs, methods of prevention, and the vital need for regular health checks.
Participants were educated on the link between Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical cancer, the importance of maintaining good reproductive health, and the benefits of early detection through routine screening. The sessions also emphasized the importance of HPV vaccination, especially for young girls, as a safe and effective way to prevent cervical cancer before it develops.The sessions were delivered in a simple, engaging format to ensure all attendees could understand and relate to the information shared.
