OYENIKE OYEKAN FOUNDATION TAKES CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN TO SCHOOLS
As part of its ongoing commitment to cancer prevention and women’s health education, the Oyenike Oyekan Foundation recently held a health sensitization program at Community High School, Alengogo, Ibadan.
The outreach focused on raising awareness about cervical and breast cancer among senior secondary school girls, equipping them with essential knowledge to make informed health decisions early in life.
During the interactive session, the health educators enlightened the students on:
The meaning and causes of cervical and breast cancer.
The importance of HPV vaccination in preventing cervical cancer.
How to perform regular breast self-examinations to detect early warning signs.
The role of personal hygiene, nutrition, and lifestyle in maintaining good health.
